What’s Ubud Like?

Ubud is a mecca for remote workers looking for a slice of paradise. Set amongst lush rice fields, monkey-filled jungles and Balinese temples, Ubud is the cultural heart of Bali. Along with its rep for yoga and mindfulness, Ubud is an energetic entrepreneurial hub. Ubud takes its name from the Balinese word “ubad,” which means medicine. Once an important source for traditional healing plants and herbs, today it draws travelers with its verdant rice fields, rich Balinese culture, and thriving wellness scene.

Come for cocktails, weekly jam sessions and a full Asian-fusion menu located out front of our Ubud property.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best way to get around Ubud Coliving?

There is no public transportation in Bali, so we recommend you rent a scooter to get around Ubud. If you’re comfortable riding them, we can help you rent one when you arrive. Alternatively, Grab (the ‘Uber’ of Asia) is widely popular here, along with affordable taxis for hire.

What is the difference between Coliving in Canggu and Coliving in Ubud?

If you’re looking for surf spots or beach life, Canggu is the place for you. Located on the west coast of the island, Canggu has a vibrant nightlife scene with many popular bars, hip restaurants and beach clubs. We find it’s quickly becoming one of the busiest areas on the island, so if you’re looking for a place to socialize, head to Canggu.

As you might have guessed, Ubud is more laid back with plenty of lush rice paddies and green forests. Located in the center of the island, Ubud is known as the cultural and wellness hub of Bali. Here you can find plenty of yoga spots, retreats, spas and many raw or vegan dining outlets. Head to Ubud if you’re looking for a more relaxed pace of life with plenty of nature and culture to soak up.

What’s the difference between your 2 Ubud Coliving locations?

Ubud Penestanan is where coworking and coliving sit under the same roof. Outpost Ubud is our original coliving property with a separate coworking – where it all began in 2016. We like to think of it as our headquarters now.

How can I connect with other Ubud Coliving members?

Connection is one of our core values. Along with all the weekly events that we host in our spaces, we have a very active online community on our Outpost Member Hub and social media channels. You’ll be automatically invited to our Member Hub after purchasing a cowork pass or booking your colive in Ubud.

Are pets allowed in Ubud Coliving?

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in our Ubud coliving rooms at this time. Although we’d love to see your furry friend, we try to respect the allergies of our members in the shared coliving.

Do you have hot water in Ubud Coliving?

Yes, we have hot water in all of the rooms of our coliving properties in Ubud.

What type of events does Outpost Ubud Coliving and coworking spaces hold?

We hold many events throughout the week at each location, from hands-on workshops, to yoga classes and cocktail mixers. Our events are meant to help you learn something new, grow and connect with the Outpost community. We also hold monthly events such as our famous First Friday Party to adventures like climbing Mount Batur or going island hopping in Nusa Penida.

Do I get access to your cowork with my colive booking?

When you book with us, you’re able to purchase a cowork pass add-on at a discounted members-only rate. This pass gives you unlimited access to our cowork spaces, but does not include any private booth hours or meeting room discounts. If you’d like, you can purchase additional private booth hours or meeting room access upon check-in at the host desk.

What is your Ubud Coliving booking policy?

We offer two types of rates when booking with us: a non-refundable rate and a refundable rate.

Our non-refundable rate gives you the best value we can offer. Unfortunately, this reservation cannot be refunded, exchanged, or the dates modified once purchased. You’re more than welcome to always transfer it to another person to enjoy if you’d like.

Our refundable rate allows you to fully refund your booking up to 14 days before your arrival date. We totally understand that circumstances may change quickly. If you’d like a refund, just send us a message: ubud@destinationoutpost.co

Refer to your booking confirmation to know which rate you purchased in addition to our terms and conditions. Please note that refunds may take up to 3 weeks to process.
