Ubud is a mecca for remote workers looking for a slice of paradise. Set amongst lush rice fields, monkey-filled jungles and Balinese temples, Ubud is the cultural heart of Bali. Along with its rep for yoga and mindfulness, Ubud is an energetic entrepreneurial hub. Ubud takes its name from the Balinese word “ubad,” which means medicine. Once an important source for traditional healing plants and herbs, today it draws travelers with its verdant rice fields, rich Balinese culture, and thriving wellness scene.

Our General Manager, Remy, always has a big smile on his face. It's hard not to be charmed by his thick French accent. Ask him about our space, your membership or whatever's on your mind.
As our coworking coordinator, Jonathan greets everyone in Ubud with big, friendly smile. He keeps the wifi speedy and ensures that you'll find a perfect spot to plug in and get productive for the day.
As our coliving coordinator, Ragu may very well be the first person you meet when you arrival in Bali! He knows Ubud inside and out so you can find everything you need during your stay.
Think yoga and granola vs surf and turf, both good in their own way!
Ubud Penestanan is our brand new property where coworking and coliving sit under the same roof. Outpost Ubud is the original location where it all began in 2016. We like to think of it as our headquarters now. Feel free to pop between both for working or events (+ Canggu).
There isn’t public transportation in Bali, so we recommend you rent a scooter to whizz around town. We can put you in touch with someone on arrival. Alternatively, taxis here are affordable and personal drivers can take you around for a day/week/month to suit your needs (We can also introduce you to some of ours).
Yes! Your family = our family. We kindly ask that you check with the host desk before bringing your pets inside our coworking spaces as sometimes our members are highly allergic.
Yes, we have begun slowly holding events at our Canggu and Ubud coworking locations! Strict social distancing measures are in place, and all attendees are encouraged to wear masks in order to minimize the spread of the virus. For a schedule of upcoming events, please check our Canggu Facebook Page and our Ubud Facebook Page.
To apply, you’ll need to go through an official visa agency. The entire process should take 5-6 days in total and agents usually charge between $300 – $400 per visa application. Some agents our members have successfully gone through are listed below.
To enter the country you must provide at least one dose of the vaccine and a negative RT-PCR test conducted less than 72 hours before boarding. Upon arrival, a RT-PCR test is carried out and you have to wait for a negative result at the airport.
After that, a 6-night/7-day quarantine is required at selected hotels in Jakarta. Hotels range from 3-5 stars and price points may vary. Before your last day of quarantine, you’ll undergo 1 more RT-PCR test at your expense.
You’re also required to show proof of health insurance or travel insurance and flight ticket departing from Indonesia (after 60 days or earlier, it can be asked by your airline for check-in). In order to avoid change fees or cancellations, we advise you to only purchase flight tickets after being issued the visa.
Visa extensions can be made once you’re in Bali for an additional cost.
