What’s Weligama Like?

Weligama, meaning ‘sandy village’, is the beating heart of the south coast of Sri Lanka. Whether you’re a newbie or expert surfer, or keen to hop on a train for a quick getaway to the mountains, Weligama is known for its long, golden beaches, and ideal waves for surfers of all levels.

Along with being a surfer’s paradise, the bay is also a prime location for snorkeling and diving experiences. Take a sunset walk along the beach and discover eateries, cafes, and plenty of local boutiques in a vibrant atmosphere. Weligama Bay is the newest hotspot in Sri Lanka to live, work, and meet fellow travelers and digital nomads.

Private: How is the wifi speed in your spaces?

We’re doing everything we can to make sure each Outpost property has the best connectivity and largest bandwidth in the neighborhood. For instance, we make sure that our internet providers use different backbones. That means if one line goes out, there are other ways to route traffic. In each destination, we have separate fiber optic lines coming into the space and a satellite-based backup connection from different providers. We want you and your team to confidently get work done in our spaces.

What happens if the power goes out?

While we wish we could control this, sometimes things happen. We have a backup generator to avoid interrupting your flow. If lighting were to strike even the backup power generator, we have a back up to our back-up. When the power goes out in the area, Outpost stands out as one of the few places with the lights still on.

Are pets allowed?

Yes! Your family = our family. We kindly ask that you check with the host desk in each location before bringing your pets inside our coworking spaces as sometimes our members are highly allergic. In our colive, please avoid leaving your pet unattended in the room as to avoid disturbing other guests.
