As an African passport holder, I have limited options for countries to visit. I love the outdoors, hiking, nature, and being by the ocean.

Q: Why are you here?

Armelle: I am Cameroonian, but I lived in the US for about 13 years. I grew up living in other countries, so traveling is in my blood!

I joined the space because it looked beautiful, and I needed a place to work that was open 24/7. Little did I know that I would make such amazing friends and attend so many events.

I am a consultant/data analyst with an Econ and policy background. I work in the international development space/microinsurance.

Since 2020, I have been a digital nomad. I have visited many forests and awesome locations, but I needed to go somewhere green with beaches and amazing views.

Bali welcomed with open arms. Love this place!!

Q: What has been the hardest part?

Armelle: Finding good internet, finding a good place to live that has a nice view, not talking to other human for months at the time 🙁

I lived in a van for about 2 months. My partner bought a van and outfitted it with a bed, a small kitchen, solar power, drawers, a mini table, etc. We traveled around the Southern US in 80-degree weather.

Q: Any plans for future?

Armelle: I travel for work, so I’m headed to Comoros next. After that, I’ll be off to Dubai with my amazing travel companion and life partner for a few days!
