Outpost Bali has been a game-changer during my time in Indonesia, a perfect balance of comfort, productivity, and community for digital nomads

Q: What’s your name, age and where are you from?

Paul: Hi! I’m Paul, 40 – originally from Los Angeles, USA.

Q: Do you work as a freelancer, entrepreneur, or for a remote company?

Paul:I’m the founder of Mokz.ai, a platform that helps people manifest their life goals with the support of a personal AI coach. Before launching my own startup, I spent three years as a digital nomad, working remotely for various companies. That experience eventually inspired me to transition into entrepreneurship.

Q: What are the biggest challenges of being a digital nomad?

Paul:One of the biggest challenges as a long-term digital nomad is building and maintaining a consistent daily routine. People often assume the lifestyle is a permanent vacation, but to stay grounded and productive, it’s crucial to prioritize a stable routine, regular workouts, healthy eating, and staying socially connected, especially when moving from one location to another

Q: How would you describe your experience at Outpost?

Paul:Outpost has been wonderful and has provided me with a sense of normalcy in my travels. Amazing community, reliable international parcel handling, and most importantly- stable wifi, even when there is a power outage. Brilliant!

Q: How important is the community aspect in your digital nomad life?

Paul:Community is essential. One of the most unique things about the digital nomad community in Bali is how driven and creative everyone is. You’re constantly surrounded by people building cool things, pursuing interesting goals, and living intentionally. Thanks to Outpost’s coliving and coworking spaces, I now have friends from Amsterdam to Portugal, New Zealand, and beyond. Terima kasih, Outpost!

Q: What are the main countries you’ve worked from? Do you have plans to settle down in one place in the future?

Paul:I’ve lived in Paris, Madrid, Gran Canaria, Tokyo, Seoul, Bali, and Bangkok. I’ve now been in Ubud for nine months and still loving it. Next, I’m looking at Busan or Jeju in South Korea, to reconnect with my roots and explore a different nomad hub in Asia.
