Q: What are the biggest challenges of being a digital nomad?

Neel: Living as a digital nomad definitely has its challenges. Navigating time zones for remote meetings can be tricky, especially when collaborating across continents. It’s also tough to maintain strong personal relationships back home while on the move. Sticking to a consistent diet and exercise routine while traveling is another hurdle. Lastly, there’s always the ongoing challenge of finding the right balance between freedom and stability.

Q: How would you describe your experience at Outpost?

Neel: My time at Outpost Coliving and Coworking has been truly amazing. The community team is incredibly warm and welcoming, organizing just the right number of events to foster connection without overwhelming your schedule. The coworking space is fully equipped—monitors for rent, whiteboards for brainstorming, and fast Wi-Fi. The coliving setup is comfortable, social, and perfect for remote workers. I’ve met friendly, like-minded digital nomads from all over the world and really feel part of a vibrant, supportive remote work community.

Q: How important is the community aspect in your digital nomad life?

Neel: Community is essential to my digital nomad lifestyle. It keeps me grounded and constantly inspired. Sharing experiences with others not only makes them more meaningful, but also pushes me to try new things I might not have considered on my own. Whether it’s over a coworking lunch or weekend trip, the connections I make are what shape each place I go.

Q: What are the main countries you’ve worked from? Do you have plans to settle down in one place in the future?

I’ve worked remotely from Switzerland, the Netherlands (Amsterdam), Denmark (Copenhagen), Colombia (Medellín), and Mexico (Mexico City). Each place offered something unique, but they all helped fuel my passion for location-independent work. I do see myself one day having a home base in San Francisco, but I want to keep the freedom to travel and live abroad for extended periods—ideally surrounded by people I love and connected to a global digital nomad community.
