How the run down of the day goes:
• Leaving Ubud around 1pm
• With one or two stops, we arrive at Taro by 2pm
• Visit a Balinese Banjar (i.e. to live side by side, to understand the Desa adat, the social living system)
• Then head to Pura Gunung Raung, if you have your own local attire, that’s when we put it on, otherwise we provide it, you can also buy your own if you want
• After the temple we visit the holy white cows, to link the spirituality with the subak and how we are developing our Karma Culture (regenerative farming solution)
• We start a short walk with some tree plantation and foraging – TTE (The Tree Experience)
• We arrive at the home of the fireflies and do some cooking, understand all about the glowing bugs
• Enjoy the beautiful local meal we cooked
• See the vision of the Firefly’s life
• Go home
The idea is to connect people to the land and have an authentic Balinese experience to understand the wisdom behind keeping this island the way it is.
